Rupert Murdoch is personally donating £1m to charity as part of a compensation deal agreed with Milly Dowler's family.
The family of the murdered schoolgirl, whose phone was hacked during
her disappearance, are to receive a £2m payout from News International.Mr Murdoch will also personally give £1m to six charities which have been selected by the Dowlers.
The media tycoon described the hacking by the News of the World as "abhorrent" and "awful" as the payout was revealed. More Read
