A former senior policeman who stabbed
his wife and his six-year-old daughter to death then took his own life
was recently sacked.
Former police inspector Tobias Day killed his wife Samantha and daughter Genevieve following a fierce row at their home in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, yesterday afternoon.
Mr Day was dismissed from his job at Leicestershire Constabulary nine days ago. The force said it was due to 'matters concerning honesty and integrity and misuse of police systems'. He had been on suspension for several weeks.
Mr Day's two older children Kimberley, 15, and Adam, 13, were seriously injured in the attacks too, but Kimberley managed to scramble to safety and raise the alarm at a nearby school. Read Here
