Garden offence Barrier of rags and junk in neighbours’ 7-year war

DISTRAUGHT Mary Pickering stands in front of the eyesore fence her neighbour has built in a long-running feud.

The 15ft-high monstrosity — of tea towels, rags, old socks and garden rubbish — appeared overnight.

And Mary, 73, and her husband insist it was put up by Gloria Reid to antagonise them as part of a bitter dispute lasting SEVEN YEARS.

The mistrust between the neighbours became so bad that they once had more than a dozen CCTV cameras trained at each other.          More Read
