A GRAN and her grandson aged six drowned in a pond as they fed ducks and geese, it was believed yesterday.
The victims were found in the freezing water by search teams after the little boy's parents raised the alarm.It is thought the youngster may have slipped and fallen in and his gran then went in to try to save him — but both were unable to clamber out again.
Last night police probing the double death at the picturesque hamlet of Holywell, Lincs, said it appeared to have been "a very tragic accident".
The victims were named locally as Dawn Mullany, 71, and Laurence Mullany-Mills, who was known to neighbours as Laurie and described as "a lovely, adventurous little boy". Full Read
