MORE than 60,000 South Australian
homes will be connected to the national broadband network by mid-2013,
but delays mean the state will remain well behind the rest of the
nation.
NBN Co announced yesterday that Stirling, Aldinga Beach, Strathalbyn, Yankalilla, Port Augusta and Port Elliot will be connected between October next year and August 2013.
Modbury, Prospect, Seaford and McLaren Vale have already been announced as locations to be connected in the same time frame.
But NBN Co is yet to hire a builder to complete the work, which it estimates will connect 63,700 premises.
