Man, 35, faces court over alleged kidnap and ransom plot in Pakenham

UPDATE 2pm: A MAN has faced court after a woman was allegedly held hostage and rescued next to a shallow backyard grave. 
 
This morning Darren Saltmarsh, 35, of Endeavour Hills briefly appeared in the Dandenong Magistrates' Court today dressed in prison garb.


His court appearance comes after a woman was allegedly held hostage for three days in a bizarre extortion plot, before she was rescued by police blindfolded beside what appeared to be a shallow grave after police swooped on an outer Melbourne property yesterday morning.   Read More
