Father 'forced ex-partner to strip and cut chunks from her hair in three hour ordeal before shooting her and daughter, 2, dead'

A jealous father murdered his two-year-old daughter and former partner at point-blank range with a shotgun because he could no longer 'have' them, a court heard today.

David Oakes, 50, of Braintree, Essex, gunned down Christine Chambers, 38, and their little girl, Shania at their home, Chelmsford Crown Court was told.

The builder is said to have been 'fuelled by jealousy' and frustrated that his relationship with Miss Chambers was finished.       More Read
