Riding the railway system for free


RAIL commuters should travel free before 7am to reduce overcrowding on morning peak services, the state's independent infrastructure adviser has told the government. 
 
Infrastructure NSW will put the idea to the government as part of its 20-year infrastructure plan, alongside a raft of radical short-term solutions to improve public transport.

The independent body's chief executive Paul Broad, appointed by Premier Barry O'Farrell earlier this year, said overcrowding was a significant issue for every commuter.    Full Read
