now the city’s subway has earned itself a spot in a museum exhibition of
photography, documenting the work of some of Manhattan’s most famed
personalities.
Stanley Kubrick set out as a staff photographer for LOOK Magazine in 1946 to capture the story of New York City’s subway commuters.
The resulting pictures show real life on the underground and have formed part of a Museum of the City of New York display entitled Willing To Be Lucky: Ambitious New Yorkers in the Pages of LOOK Magazine. Full Read
