Seven airlifted as car plunges into loch

A FAMILY of seven including three children were airlifted to hospital yesterday after their car plunged into a loch.

The Coastguard helicopter was scrambled to deal with the casualties after the people carrier careered off the road and into Loch Bearastadh Mor near Luskentyre, Isle of Harris.

Emergency services had to free two people still trapped in the battered vehicle when they arrived at the scene.         Read Here
