Egg’s a poultry 1in


NO, it’s not a yolk . . this hen really has laid an egg that is less than an INCH high.

The paltry specimen was found by shell-shocked owner Harry Evans in the nest of his chicken — called Big Bird.

Barely bigger than a 5p coin, it is 0.9ins long and weighs just ¼oz. On average a hen’s egg is 2¼ins long and weighs about 2oz.

Harry, 58, is bidding to have the egg recognised as the world’s smallest by Guinness World Records.        Read More
