A festive coming-together in the Holy Land. Thousands of Christians
and Jews gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate their key festivals, as Good
Friday and the Jewish holiday of Passover coincided this year.
While Jewish believers completed their final preparations for Passover, commemorating the Exodus which saw the Israelites escaping from slavery in Egypt, thousands of Christians gathered to mark Good Friday.
Also known as Black Friday or Holy Friday, the religious holiday commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.
Christian pilgrims have a tradition of walking from the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives along the paths known as the "Via Dolorosa", or "Way of Suffering", where Jesus is said to have passed. Read Here
