A 15-year-old British boy who killed his mother with a hammer after being inspired by a television soap opera was on Monday handed a life sentence.
Judge Julian Fox told Daniel Bartlam, who was only 14 years old at the time of the incident, that he must serve a minimum of 16 years, during the hearing at Nottingham Crown Court, central England.

The court was also told that
Bartlam had been inspired to commit the act by a storyline in popular
