Gun cops demoted after firearm prank

TWO cops have been demoted after this photo of them messing around with a SHOTGUN emerged following the tragic death of a colleague during a training exercise.

 One officer is seen pointing the weapon at the rear of his colleague, who poses provocatively on the bonnet of an armoured Land Rover Defender.

Both are dressed in full body armour and carrying Glock handguns.
The snap came after the death of PC Ian Terry during a training exercise in June 2008 which led a coroner to conclude there were systematic failings in the planning of the drill.

An instructor in the force's elite gun unit is thought to have taken the photograph.

The image was discovered on a computer during an unrelated raid on another officer's home in June last year.

All three officers were disciplined and removed from the Tactical Firearms Unit.

Deputy Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said: "Greater Manchester Police expects the highest professional standards from all officers and staff and, clearly, this falls well short.          More

'Am I ugly?': Worrying new trend sees tweens posting YouTube videos asking the public to comment on their looks

Teen and tween girls and boys are posting clips of themselves on to YouTube accompanied by the question 'Am I ugly? ' A short search yields scores of videos from insecure 11, 12, 13 and 14-year-olds, their anxiety forcing them into the notoriously harsh world of online commentating to find an answer to their misguided question. Cat kill film No2

A SICK video of a cat being drowned in a bath has been posted on the internet — by the same sadist behind footage of a kitten being fed to a python. The latest video — uncovered by The Sun — shows the terrified pet taped to a broom handle being slowly lowered into the water by a woman. Bubbles can be seen rising as it struggles frantically before losing its fight for life. The footage, called "Bathtime lol" was posted on YouTube at the weekend by a user called jasminethecat666.     Full Read
