BA crew ‘bomb’ Steward held over jet hoax

A BRITISH Airways steward has been nicked on suspicion of triggering a mid-air bomb scare.

Mathew Davis, 22, allegedly scrawled, "The bomb on board will explode at 16.00 GMT unless our demands are met" on a jet's loo door.

The Tokyo to London flight was at 35,000ft with 150 passengers on board at the time.

Davis was arrested when the Boeing 777 landed safely at Heathrow after its 7,000-mile journey on Sunday. No explosives were found.    More Read
