War crime probe on medal winner Brits cut off dead Taliban fighters' fingers

A DECORATED Army hero could face war crimes charges after dead Taliban fighters' fingers were cut off, it emerged yesterday.

The lieutenant, 25, is the youngest officer to receive the Military Cross.

He tried to get fingerprints from the bodies after an Apache helicopter killed the enemy with missiles.

The lieutenant, a captain and a squaddie came under heavy fire as they used a "biometrics" camera for the procedure, which lasts ten minutes.   Read Full
