The safety guy wouldn’t let me jump off world’s tallest building ...I said ‘let’s find one who will’ Says Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise

IT is Tom Cruise's most scary jump since he sprang off Oprah Winfrey's sofa. 

For the Hollywood star chose NOT to use a stuntman to leap from the world's tallest building — but opted to do it HIMSELF for his new movie.

The breathtaking manoeuvre was made about two-thirds of the way up Dubai's 2,717ft tall Burj Khalifa skyscraper.

But Tom, who performed the stunt for the fourth Mission: Impossible movie, says his wife Katie Holmes and their five-year-old daughter Suri do not worry about his daredevil antics.

He told The Sun: "Kate knows that I climb, hike, ride motorcycles and fly aeroplanes so she's just like 'go do your work' and is very supportive and helpful."

For Tom it is more of a challenge to persuade health and safety officers that it is OK for him to do such feats.     More Read
