The gold coffin of broadcasting legend Sir Jimmy Savile is lying in state at a hotel in his home city of Leeds today, where fans are paying their last respects.

Bathed in golden light, the casket is adorned with wreathes of white roses and surrounded by symbols of the legendary DJ's extraordinary life.
