Waste land Sewage could put 50 UK beaches off limits

DOZENS of beaches could become "no-swim zones" because they are so filthy, experts warned yesterday.

Around FIFTY popular British bathing spots are so contaminated they pose health risks to users.

They are being spoiled by sewage, run-off from farms and even by dodgy plumbers who wrongly connect up toilets and kitchen appliances.

The Environment Agency warned that one in ten of the UK's 502 beaches would fail tough new tests for water quality across Europe due to be introduced in 2015.   Read More
