THE Children In Need appeal set a new £26million record early today.
With an hour still to go, the cash raised by the live BBC1 show was already well ahead of the £20million given during last year's event and £26,332,334 was eventually pledged.This year's show, hosted by Sir Terry Wogan, kicked off with boyband One Direction performing their single What Makes You Beautiful.
