Altoona residents would see a minimal tax increase for city
services, if the City Council adopts a proposed 2012 budget that
includes a tax levy increase of less than 1 percent.
The council will vote Thursday on the budget, which includes a $2.21 million levy - the amount residents pay in property taxes for city services - an increase of 0.15 percent from this year.
