Woman, 81, assaulted and robbed

An 81-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed in Hawick on Friday night, police have said.

The woman was pushed to the ground and her handbag was stolen after she left the Burns Club on Commercial Street in the Border town at about 21:00.

Her attacker was described as being a white male aged about 20. He was said to be about 5ft 4in.   More Read
