Occupy Montreal plugs in Wi-Fi

MONTREAL —With a new donated diesel generator, Occupy Montreal has a steady source of power for their laptops, bullhorns, and backup battery packs in case the generator fails.

On Monday, a nameless donor hooked up an Internet connection and a wireless router, giving the occupants of Victoria Square free Wi-Fi access. Later this week, volunteers expect to install a 24-hour live webcam.
Little by little, the local movement builds a serious communications department.   More
