The story behind the REAL murder of a small town widow that inspired the latest Jack Black comedy... and how not everyone's laughing

In Richard Linklater's latest film, Jack Black plays a gay mortician that befriends a wealthy widow at her husband's funeral, shoots her in the back and spends her millions while desperately trying to hide the fact that she's packed in a freezer alongside chicken pot pies.

But the truth is stranger than fiction; as the real Bernie Tiede sits in a Texas prison and Marjorie Nugent six-feet underground.

Her only son, Rod Nugent, was none too pleased with the comedy's portrayal of his mother's cold-blooded killer, nor the fact that the film made light of such a dark story.              Read Here
