Football bad boy Joey Barton has fired off a volley of abuse at BBC pundits Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker after they criticised his latest meltdown at the weekend.
The QPR midfielder called Shearer a 'p****' and Lineker 'an odious toad' during a rant on Twitter after he was sent off on the last day of the season against Manchester City.
After seeing Barton elbow Carlos Tevez in the throat and then kicking Sergio Aguero and headbutting Vincent Kompany as he was being ushered off the pitch, Shearer said Barton was 'never going to calm down'.
Lineker agreed with the former Newcastle man but found himself caught up in an online spat with the player, who has a string of misdemeanours to his name both on and off the pitch - and has served time in jail. More
