A father and son have drowned after a boat bought days earlier capsized at a weir on the River Avon.
The father named locally as Julian Mynott, 42, had taken his son Freddie, three, and his two other children out on the river for a pleasure trip at Barford, near Warwick yesterday.
But he got into trouble after hitting strong currents in what emergency services described as 'white water' conditions on the river.
The boat went over a three-metre high weir and capsized throwing Mr Mynott, Freddy, Florence and Archie overboard. Mr Mynott's 41-year-old wife Emma was not on board. More Read
