The fashion chains that make British shoppers pay 60% more than in Europe

British shoppers are paying as much as 60 per cent more for High Street fashion brands than they would abroad, retail figures show. 

Global chains including H&M, Zara and Mango hike up prices for their UK customers.

The latest figures, published by retail analysts, will heap pressure on the Government to act against such pricing policies. 

A snapshot survey of 20 items sold by major chains in 14 countries shows the UK continues to be more expensive than Spain, the US, Greece, Italy, Ireland and Poland.

For example, a Zara tunic dress, on sale for £49.20 in Spain,  cost £69.99 in the UK, a difference of £20.79.              Read Full
