Benefits cheats in £2k fines ‘on spot’

BENEFITS cheats will be hit in the pocket every time they get caught — with on-the-spot fines of up to £2,000.

From today, swindlers will no longer be let off with a caution, even if they have fiddled only a small amount.

Instead, they will face the tough new fines of between £350 and £2,000.
