A Saskatchewan bishop says a Catholic priest who sprinkled holy water
and prayed over a man feared to be possessed by demons was not
performing an exorcism.
A priest did attend a home in Saskatoon last month, he confirmed, but “the question of demonic possession is speculative.”
The incident began on March 23, when a woman asked a local priest to perform a common house blessing ceremony. When he arrived, he witnessed the state of her uncle, his chest slashed with the word “hell,” speaking in what seemed to be an eerie, demonic pitch.
“The voice coming out of him was the same kind of voice you hear in the Hollywood movie the Exorcist,” said the priest, who could not be named for reasons of confidentiality. Read Here
