Police warn of danger of 'speed paste' after 16-year-old girl dies and man, 21, is left critically ill

Police have issued an urgent warning following the death of a teenage girl after she took a 'yellowy-white' paste thought to contain amphetamine.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man, who is also believed to have taken the substance in a separate incident, is in a serious condition in hospital.

North Yorkshire Police are now questioning a man and a woman in connection with the 16-year-old girl's death and warned people in the area not to risk taking any substances with a similar description.          More Read
