Boy, 8, 'killed as his father reversed through farm gate'

A BOY of eight died in a “tragic accident” after being run over by a reversing 4x4 believed to have been driven by his dad.

Cops believe Charles Kimm was struck as the vehicle pulling trailers reversed through a gate on the family’s farm yesterday.

Emergency crews tried to save him but he died at the scene.

The accident happened in Symington, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, at around 3pm.

Neighbours saw a helicopter landing in fields close to the farm house where Charles and his sisters lived with parents Robert, 56, and 41-year-old Suzanne.

Neighbour Yvonne McAllister, 60, said: “It’s so sad. His family must be devastated.

“They are a young family and Charles and his sisters are such a nice group of children. I can always hear them playing outside the house.         Read Here
