A vortex gun which can fire
doughnut-shaped rings of electrically charged gas could be by
firefighters to clear hallways clogged with smoke.
The gun fires rings which revolve as they travel but, like the eye of a hurricane, remain calm within the interior, allowing them to carry a payload of electrically charged air.
