A teacher was killed and 27 others,
including schoolchildren, hurt after a coach they were travelling in
careered off the road in northern France this morning.
Peter Ripperton, 59, died when the bus, which was carrying a party from Alvechurch School in Worcestershire back from a half-term skiing holiday, hit a motorway barrier and rolled into a ditch.
At least one teenager is in a ‘critical condition’ following the 3am accident, which took place on the A26, near the town of Chalons-en-Champagne, 90 miles east of Paris. Read Full
