Italian village ‘floats’ in the sky at sunset

A HILLTOP village appears to float in the sky as clouds surround it at sunset. 

Picturesque Conco, nestled in the Eastern Alps of Italy, is bathed in a beautiful glow as lights illuminate the early evening.

Taken entirely by chance this beguiling snap is the work of a local resident.

Vittorio Poli, 31, was returning from a trip up a nearby mountain at dusk when the mist came rolling in.
He said: "I was coming down from Mount Bertiaga.

"It was about 5.15pm and I was still about 1,000 metres up when my eyes were caught by a sea of fog that was slowly enveloping my little country, like a floating island.       Read Full
