Sun bid to stop heroes’ pay cut

THE Sun today demands David Cameron scraps a kick in the teeth for Our Boys on the front line — four years of pay CUTS.

Troops face two years of their wages shrinking as part of the public sector pay freeze, then paltry rises of one per cent in the two years after that. It follows the axing of increases previously linked to inflation.

And it means heroes risking life and limb for their country will eventually find themselves a shocking TEN PER CENT worse off in real terms.

In contrast, benefits claimants are to get bumper RISES of 5.2 per cent a year. That is despite new figures showing the welfare bill has already soared by £4billion in the past year to £121billion.

Last night MPs on all sides were outraged. And today The Sun launches a Fair Deals For Our Forces campaign.      More Read
