Sledgehammer gang launches broad daylight smash-and-grab raid on jewellery store in London's busy Oxford Street

Masked raiders carried out a smash-and-grab in broad daylight in Europe's busiest shopping street making off with thousands of pounds worth of Rolex watches. 


Horrified Christmas shoppers watched as four men on two scooters used sledgehammers to shatter the window of Leslie Davis jewellers on Oxford Street at around 10am before grabbing handfuls of designer watches. 


But as they tried to steal more jewellery the store's 'smoke screen' went off filling the window with thick smoke forcing them to abandon the raid.      Read Here
