First picture of tragic schoolboy, 9, who died in 'family murder-suicide' alongside brother, mother and father

This is the first picture of Ben Smith, whose body was found alongside his brother Aaron and mother Clair after an apparent murder-suicide on Sunday night.

Ben, nine, was pictured in his local paper a month ago dressed up in a Pudsey Bear outfit as part of a charity day alongside his classmates at  Greenside Primary School in Pudsey, West Yorks.

The schoolboy was taking part in an Extreme Bear Spotting challenge to raise money for Children In Need in November.      More Read
