Family and fans pay tribute to tragic Gary Speed

THE family of tragic soccer star Gary Speed watched as fans paid tribute at Leeds United's Elland Road ground today.

Grieving wife Louise, 40, was in the stands with her sons Ed, 14, and Tommy, 13, as a minute's applause was held in his memory.

And just before half-time, she came out of the ground to inspect the masses of tributes to her husband which have formed a shrine around the statue of Leeds legend Billy Bremner.

Louise read many of the messages among the thousands of scarves, shirts and photographs left by fans.    More Read
