Dustmen refuse to empty wheelie bin ‘in case it falls over’ as they stick to the letter of ’elf and safety rules

Residents in a block of flats have been left with a bad smell in their nostrils after being told their overflowing bins won't be emptied - in case they tip over.

Binmen have refused to collect waste piling up at the foot of St George’s House in Bristol because of the bizarre health and safety fears.
