Don't drink and click, internet shoppers are warned... as drunk purchases are usually unwanted the morning after

Almost half of Britons have shopped online after drinking, often falling asleep or having to abandon a transaction, new research showed today.


Now consumers are being urged not to 'drink and click' after one in seven admitted buying something they never would when sober, with many sending it back immediately.


More than half of online shoppers also spent more when tipsy - if they managed not fall asleep while purchasing.


In a survey of more than 4,200 consumers, showed the most popular items bought online by 'boozy' shoppers were clothes and shoes, DVDs, books, video games, technology and lingerie.      Read Full
