could be forced to wear U.S.-style ‘sobriety bracelets’ in a crackdown
on alcohol-fuelled crime proposed by Britain’s top policeman.
Scotland Yard is in talks with the Home Office about forcing convicted offenders to wear a detection tag which monitors whether they have consumed alcohol.
The proposals, unveiled yesterday by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe, could also be used to combat other alcohol-related offences such as domestic violence. Read Here
