Cop allegedly tampered with drug test


A POLICE officer has been stood down after WA Police began drug and alcohol testing its members, amid suspicions some are working under the influence of booze or illicit substances. 
 
Twenty police officers had random drug and alcohol screenings this week after new regulations came into force on December 3, but none tested positive for alcohol or illicit drugs.

The Sunday Times understands the positive screening results have been triggered by legitimately used prescription drugs.

However, a police officer has been stood down after allegedly tampering with a urine sample during a mandatory drug and alcohol test late today.       More Read
