A MUM was celebrating yesterday after being told a portrait given to her as a child was a sought-after original by telly's Rolf Harris — and worth up to £50,000.
Cathy Sims, 42, was given the painting by her late dad Chris 35 years ago after he bought it for £500.So when Antiques Roadshow arrived to film at Layer Marney stately home, near Colchester, Essex, she decided to take it along to have it valued.
To Cathy's delight art expert Philip Mould told her: "Rolf Harris is considered to be a young 'old master'.
