VICTIMS of the collapsed Storm Financial have taken investor activism
to a novel level, funding a documentary to tell their own story of
trust betrayed and alleged improper relationships between Storm and the
banks that contributed to an estimated $3 billion in losses.
The documentary's director, Andrew Lawrence, said Storm's clients wanted not only to tell their stories, but also to increase awareness of the pitfalls in investing, as people sought to secure their own financial futures. The low-budget film, Piggy Banks, which cost $30,000, was shot and edited during the past six months.
Funds were raised by investors, their families and friends, who contributed $250 each. Read Here
