3-death bloodbath at 'home of copper'

A COUPLE and a child were stabbed to death in a bloodbath at their home yesterday.

The incident is thought to be a murder-suicide — and neighbours said the dad was a police officer.

The young victim's two siblings were wounded. They were reported to be a girl, 15, — said to have been knifed as she fled — and a brother, 10.

The sister raised the alarm at a nearby school in Melton Mowbray, Leics, soon after 4pm — then armed cops sped to the house on a quiet street. They found the father, mother and a child, believed to be a young girl, dying.

The entire family were rushed to hospital, where the surviving children remain.
