Three students have been excluded from Pukekohe High School following
an alleged incident in which a classmate was held down and assaulted in
front of his classmates.
Principal Ian McKinnon said the Year 10 boys were suspended for gross misconduct two days after the incident, which happened a week and a half ago and during a break.
They have since gone before the Board of Trustees and been excluded from the school.
Exclusions apply when students are under the age of 16, with the requirement they enroll elsewhere.
Students over the age of 16 can be expelled but don't have to be enrolled elsewhere. More
