Sony
is set to plunge to a ¥90bn ($1.1bn) full-year loss, just months after
reassuring markets it was on track to make significant profits, as the
strengthening yen, Thai floods and poor TV set sales hammered the
company's bottom line.
The Japanese consumer electronics and entertainment giant reported a ¥27bn ($350m) loss in the three months to the end of September, and rapidly downgraded its forecast for the 12 months to the end of March, putting the company on track to report its fourth straight annual net loss. More Read
