Pet dog's bites puts baby in hospital

Police, ambulance and dog-control officers were called to a Whangarei house yesterday after a pet dog attacked a 1-year-old boy who had to be hospitalised because of his injuries.

The child and one of his brothers were taken by ambulance to Whangarei Hospital for treatment after the attack, while dog-control officers took the animal.

The dog's owner, who did not want to be named, said the child was his grandson.    Read Here
