Furry fighter a Christmas miracle

AT the centre of this week's devastating fires which ripped through Prevelly and Gnarabup a Christmas miracle has taken place in the form of a furry little bundle, christened Santa.

On Friday Wallcliffe Bushfire Brigade crew found a young ring-tail possum which had severely burned all of its paws.

The firemen wrapped the fragile animal in a wet towel and placed it in a box before calling Rosobrook Veterinary owners Dr Rupert Mothersole and his wife Melanie, a vet nurse.     More Read
