Libs to blame for new boat, says PM

IRANIANS and Iraqis make up the bulk of 51 asylum seekers on the first boat intercepted off the West Australian coast since the collapse of the federal government's offshore processing scheme.

The Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, was quick to blame the Coalition, which has refused to pass legislation to overcome a High Court ban, and said the Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott, had ''denied our country'' the opportunity to transfer the latest arrivals to Malaysia and stop more boats coming.  Full Read
